SOS Phoenix is a communication aid. It does not monitor alerts, dispatch responders, contact the police automatically, or guarantee that help will arrive.
Alert delivery is not guaranteed
SMS and push notifications may be delayed, blocked, or undelivered because of network coverage, internet connectivity, carrier restrictions, device settings, permissions, battery optimisation, service outages, or other circumstances outside our control.
Location may be inaccurate
Location information can be unavailable, delayed, or inaccurate, particularly indoors or where satellite and network signals are weak. Recipients should not assume that a shared location is exact or current.
Prepare before an emergency
- Keep emergency-contact details accurate and current.
- Tell contacts that you have selected them and agree on what they should do.
- Grant the required location, SMS, and notification permissions.
- Test the app responsibly and tell contacts clearly that the test is not an emergency.
- Keep your device charged and maintain an active mobile plan where required.
Use your judgement
No app can anticipate every emergency. Follow instructions from local authorities and trained responders. Avoid using your phone when doing so would place you or another person at greater risk.
